9 months

Gabe is the cutest thing. He sent me, Hannah, and Michael this email yesterday because our wedding is exactly 9 months from yesterday. It is so exciting to think how fast that time is going to go by. We have already made so many good memories just planning with Hannah and Gabe.

Today, I am leaving for Florida! I am so excited!!!

FURNITURE....

Me and Michael now have a BEAUTIFUL EMPTY house that we need furnish in the next few months.  If anyone knows of anyone getting rid of any of their furniture (as long as it's usable ;)  ) Please... Let us know... THANKS! XOX~Bee n' Mike

Separate Vacations....

Mike left yesterday to go see his brother Greg graduate as a Green Beret. We are so proud of him, and I am really sad that I couldn't make the trip to see him. I am leaving Saturday night with Angie, my mom, and my dad for FLORIDA! I am really excited, especially since I haven't had much time off since I started school in January. My birthday is November 10th (monday), and I will not be with my baby on my birthday. I hate not seeing mike for such long periods of time. :( I already miss him, and he left YESTERDAY! XOX~Bee

Obsessed...

Let me just say that I am obsessed with my ring. One of the smaller diamonds fell out about a three weeks ago, so I brought it back to the jeweler. She gave me this big speech on how you shouldn't wear your diamonds to bed because of the sheets (?????), also how I should never wear the diamond when I am at school because of gloves, also, I shouldn't wear the ring when I am running or working out, cleaning,... etc... OH! And... I should never put my hands in my pockets or put mittens on... Okay... So I said to her... "So,... Basically... I can never wear my ring... ?" And she said, "Well, most jewelers don't tell you that so that you have to come back to them and they get to charge you more to replace a diamond that you lost.." I don't know... This sounds pretty ridiculous to me, and I have never heard of anyone saying that you can't wear your ring to bed because of the sheets... Anyways, she had to add 52 new prongs around each diamond, and she said that it was 500 dollars worth of repairs because I was "too rough" on the ring. Then she also told me that this time she would fix it, but next time she would have to charge me... hmmm... I don't know....

Tough Times...

Me and Mike get barely any time to spend together. He is so busy with school and work, and I have school and work too, and they seem to always be CONFLICTING with his schedule. So... Basically.. me and mike have two real days we get to be together... We have: Saturday nights (when I get out of school at 5), and Sundays (which is usually after 6 at night). It has been this way for quite a while now... So.. It has been pretty tough on us both. It seems like we never really see each other, and I can't wait for that to change. So... I did something out of the ordinary two days a week thing tonight, and I drove over to see my baby... We had a good time... Mostly just sat around with his mom and grandma, and looked at some old books, pics, and letters from our past. When I left his house tonight... It made me so sad because it's like... I hate the whole goodbye part...! XO Bee'nMike

Colasantis

On the rock at Jack Miners ♥
At Colasantis Cider Mill~French Fries, Donuts, Uncle Mike's Bday Cake,... So much good food!
     ♡The 4 of Us... 9 More Months!!!♡
         The L❤Ve of my Life

We had such a great time at Colasantis with the family. It is my FAVORITE tradition BY FAR!!! Start off at nana and papa's house, and head out to Canada. One we get past the border, sandwiches at the Italia Bakery. Then from there, we head out to John Abbruzzese orchard to pick some of the most amazing apples in the world. Then, Colasantis for our traditional petting zoo, donut, and french fry fest. This year, we had a huge birthday cake for Uncle Mike, and we had Uncle Tony passing out the cake to all of the strangers. Then... Jack Miners (which barely had any geese this year for some strange reason)... And this year... Lafayette coney island for some dogs, chili, and MORE fries... haha.. Wow... Basically just a day of eating... But all in all... my favorite time of year, and favorite tradition of the year. So many good memories... I hope this tradition never dies... XO BEEnMIKE

Home sweet Home?

So, here is the story. After Mike and I had gone off on a house/condo searching rampage, and were still left not knowing what we wanted to do... I made a decision... No more looking until we are closer to next August. So... Saturday (Sweetest day) comes, and me and Mike were just going to make dinner at my house and chill out. Mike drives over to my house, and says, "Okay, I know we weren't going to look at any more places, but a house just went up in Rochester Hills three days ago, and it going for a really good price." "There are no pictures posted online, and since it is so close to your house, let's just swing over there, and look at it really quick." So, I figure.. Okay,... We might as well. So we drive over the house, and look around in the yard, and the front (and even trying to peer in the windows without looking suspicious to the neighbors ha), and we both think... Wow,,... this is pretty nice... something HAS to be wrong with the inside... It is probably trashed because it is bank owned. So we call Aunt Bonnie that night, and tell her the news... Sunday comes, and Mike runs his SECOND marathon in TWO weeks! After that, we meet up with Aunt Bonnie at the house.  It has three bedrooms, one bathroom, basement, fireplace, some hardwoods, New windows, newer furnace, roof, electric... but it is GREAT need of some TLC... So we put an offer in, and we GOT IT! Now... We are just waiting for a few more checkups with the water and gas... So we will know in the next couple of days!!! We are so excited!!!! XO BEEnMIKE

Not enough hours in a day....

So Sunday night, Mike took me out for a nice, big, Italian meal to carb up for my 21 miler the next day. We ate at Kruse and Muer, and it was amazing. Sunday night, I had to go to bed really early with Shalene. Monday morning, we woke up, started the run at 6:40 am, and I was done with the 21 by 9:35 (on a different clock, so the time might be a little off ;) ) Mike ran 12 miles on Monday too. Anyways, Mike came over Monday night, and I gave him a nice haircut because he had his first job interview for an internship yesterday. His interview went really well, and he got a second interview. I am very proud of him. He is such a hard worker. Even though we have both been so busy with our schedules, we always try to make the time that we spend together count. So instead of arguing, and sitting around not doing anything, we always try to do something fun. The marathon is coming up quick! October 12th. Me and Mike are going to be going down there on Friday the 10th, after half of a day at my school (so I am not missing too much). I am very excited to run this marathon. I think this trip is going to make a lot of awesome memories. Everyone who is going?: Mike, Me, Jesse, Amber, Gabe, Hannah, Mom, Dad, Christa, Shalene, and possibly Brandon... Can't WAIT!!! :) XO Bee&Mike

3Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves. 4Each of you should look not only to your own interests, but also to the interests of others.
-Philippians 2:3-4

I think these two verses pretty much sum up what it takes to have a good relationship WITH ANYONE. Don't just think of yourself, and don't think too highly of yourself. Be humble, and consider the ones you love around you, better than yourself. Don't just worry about what you need to do for yourself, but what you can do for the people you love to show them how much you care. I think it's cool how you only have to take two scripture verses out of the whole Bible, and if you follow them, it could be so easy for you to have a successful relationship. XOX Bee&Mike

325 Days...

Even though, that seems like a long time away, we are all just so excited to get married together. It is so cool that we are going to be able to share this day with some of our best friends in the world. XOX Bee&Mike

Monday, September 15, 2008

Tonight was just a chill night. Mike didn't come over till around 8, so when he did I was pretty tired from running 14 miles earlier today. We are both so busy during the week, so we usually just spend "down time" together. Our date night is usually Saturday night. This past weekend was pretty busy for us. Friday, we went to Angela and Dan's wedding. Saturday, we went with a pretty big group to downtown Dearborn to a restaurant called CRAVE. We went there to celebrate Gabe's Birthday. ;) We have a lot of big events coming up, so I am going to try to remember to take some pics! XOX Bee n' Mike

Mike and I have been really thinking and praying about where we are going to live after we are married, and even though we have a little bit of time to decide this, it has been tough. We have been looking at real estate online, driving by neighborhoods, and everything else that we hear of, we check out. We really just need to trust God to open the doors in the place that He wants for us, and to shut the doors where they should be shut. We have been trusting God with so many other things in our lives. I have been looking for salon jobs because I only have three more months left of school. Although they are similar, Mike has also been contemplating between an accounting and financing degree. It is so crazy that when you go through times that all the decision making needs to be done, that is when you really realize... Wow.. I really can't do all of this on my own. It is really amazing how you will go through the tough times, just to realize how much we can't rely on our own abilities and decisions. Everything down the smallest detail has already been chosen for you, but it is up to us to seek God, and find it through Him. Anyways, just some thoughts. Love, Bee&Mike

Engagement Pictures

I know that I haven't blogged much since the engagement (this is actually the first one) ;) but I am really going to try to keep this updated as much as I can. Me and Mike have been so excited lately about getting married, so yesterday after church, we went to Bed Bath and Beyond, and we were looking at all of the things that we would want to register for. So, this started out being a very cute idea, but when Mike started picking things out like: a State rug for the front porch, a Creme Brulee set, and an ice cream maker out, I started to think that this could wait a few more months :) No... I know he is just a guy, and my job is to let him know what the realistic things are going to be for our first place hehe. Anyway, we have both been so busy with school and work, and it seems like our schedules are always conflicting, so the time that we get together is always special. We will keep you updated!!! June 8, 2008 - Blown Away by Daniel's Graduation Party!

At first it was a beautiful day, but a huge storm ripped through Daniel's graduation party.  The guys were all holding the tent down so it wouldn't fly away.  (Look at Mike chipping in clearing the tables and chairs!)  It was pretty near a tornado that went through the neighborhood, ripping up trees and throwing fences and ripping off roof shingles!

June 7, 2008 - Deanna and Nathan's Wedding

Had a great time at Deanna and Nate's wedding.
